The concept

DERBISOLAR is the result of the exclusive combination of a very long-lasting roof membrane (DERBISOLAR BASE®) and amorphous photovoltaic cells.

DERBISOLAR BASE is a bituminous roof membrane. It provides perfect protection for your building and its contents against water infiltration and has a very long useful life. The exclusive acryl integrated surfacing of DERBISOLAR BASE guarantees an optimum grip of more than 20 years between the membrane and the photovoltaic modules.

DERBISOLAR stands out from other PV installations thanks to its very low weight (3.5kg/m²) and its perfect integration with the environment.

Calculation example:

Calculation example for a photovoltaic installation of 100 kWp

To generate 100 kWp you will need 695 DERBISOLAR 144 panels (144 Wp per panel). One DERBISOLAR panel has a surface of 2.16m².

To install 1 kWp a 20m² unclad roof surface is needed. 100 kWp equates to an unclad surface of 2 000 m².

DERBISOLAR takes an average 60% of the roof surface. The unclad surface required for 100 kWp is therefore at least 3 000 m².

By multiplying the number of installed kWp with the amount of average sun-irradiation, you can calculate how much electricity your installation will generate.
The average sun-irradiation depends on the region where you're building is situated. You can find the amounts of sun-irradiation and the according maps on the website of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission

Please note that this example is a theoretical calculation based on average measures of a roof without shadows and construction elements around and on the roof. Every demand must be developed on the basis of the exact measurements taken on the roof by our technical team.
